Well, the Junior Bible Quizzing tournament today was exceptional!!!! We had 15 teams for the first tournament!!! 15 TEAMS!!!!! WOW! (For those of you who don't know, each team usually consists of 3-5 members plus 2 coaches. That's a lot of kids!!) There were several brand new teams and lots of first year quizzers with the deer-in-the-headlight look. (You want me to sit up there?? and push a button?? and answer questions out loud?? with everybody looking at me???)
The final results were very good for my home church in Mount Vernon--the team placed 2nd for the day and Alison took home the Highest Scorer trophy. Her sister, Janica, did a great job and got an Honorable Mention ribbon, too.
It's been a long day. Quizzing started at 10:30 and finished up about 5:00, so I am very tired and a little trip-weary. I'm thinking pj's and a cup of hot tea sounds mighty inviting right now. Talk to you soon!
