Okay, Folks, y'know I don't normally post twice in the same day, BUT!!!!!
Today is my "day off". (read: My grocery shopping, chore, and doctor visits day, NOT PAID.) So, as I was doing my wonderful job of grocery shopping (at 3 different places to take advantage of bargains), I got to see this wonderful "new" event that they were holding at two of the locations. I didn't see it advertised anywhere, and to tell the truth I'm not sure that the store managers were even aware it was happening, but it was QUITE the event. To what am I referring???
Why, Senior Parking Lot Bumper Cars, of course!!!
At first location the scene started out with two senior drivers attempting to back out of their respective parking spaces at the same time. They, of course, rear ended each other in the middle of the aisle. The red car then pulled forward and tapped the passenger side rear fender of the car next to them. The black car opted to stay put. This event happened as I was arriving. As I was leaving, another senior driver decided that it was easier to push a cart out of their way with their bumper rather than get out and move it out of the parking space. The cart then began a series of bumps into the 3 surrounding cars.
At the second shopping location, one senior driver decided that driving across parking spaces was acceptable, and then was furious when another senior driver came up the aisle and took the rear bumper off.
I'm beginning to think that traffic lights and maybe even parking lot staff should be installed at our local shopping places!

Oh my word, Theresa! There is an elderly man who drives around Logan and all four of his fenders/bumpers are dented and twisted and all from where he has hit other cars and things. I've seen him in action a couple of times! I steer clear of him, let me tell you!! *smile*
