Small Town Fall

I love the changes that fall brings! I love the colors! I love the smells! I love the cooler (not cold) temperatures! But most of all, I love living in a small town in the fall!

With all of the trees that are around us, there is an abundance of color! And with the lower key, slower pace of a small town, not everyone is in a huge hurry to rake (or mulch) the leaves to make their yards look perfect.

It's sooooo much fun to watch the neighborhood kiddos walking through and kicking the leaves around. And I love the beautiful display of colors spreading out and covering the greens of the yard.

I'm glad that the WonderHusband is of the mind to not rake the leaves until the majority are on the ground!!

This is something that puts a huge smile on my face!

I've been spoiled...the colors here in OH cannot compare with the vivid colors I'm used to seeing having grown up in NY. But I do love to drive up to Mohican State Park and the overlook where there is quite an amazing view of FALL! :-)

Oh, I wish the people here would leave their leaves for a day and a half. We are the ones on the block that make everyone else mad because we leave ours and they have to keep raking. But why rake if there are more to fall, I ask? All day one Saturday, or several half days for six weeks? But my maple is turning red and I love it!

It's because, in my heart, I'm a small town girl.
