There were lots of "EWWWW, GROSS!!!!" comments coming from the students in my husband's class.
The WH invited the kids to help him clean the litter pan with their bare hands, and then promptly picked up one of the "treats". He tried to hand it to all of the kids, but no takers. One of the boys dared him to eat it, so he did!! (At this point the WH said he wished he had a video camera to capture the faces!) Even his assistant teacher (who KNEW what was in the pan) said that her stomach did a flip!
After he explained that it was just brownies rolled in Grape Nuts, some of the kids were willing to try them. One boy still held out for a while, but eventually caved in and asked for a brownie.

Right now, IN MY KITCHEN, the WonderHusband is baking "Litter Box Treats"!!! Doesn't that sound yummy???
He's doing this for an object lesson for his Sunday School class tomorrow. He's teaching about keeping ourselves clean and not taking part in activities that will dirty our spirits. He's going to invite some of the kids to help him clean his litter box with their bare hands. AFTER they gross out and scream and squeal for a while, then he's going to explain that the "lumps" are actually brownie balls rolled in grape nuts cereal.
My husband's class is one of the best-loved classes in our church. You have to admit he's innovative!!! **SMILE**

What a funny idea - so creative. I looked at the picture and certainly thought it was kitty liter. I can see why his class is so popular - fun guy!
Oh my word! That looks soooo gross!!! I don't think I could eat it and I eat anything!!! Yuck!!! But great object lesson! Makes me shudder to look at it! *feeble grin*
When Sis.Vallen walked up into the sound room carrying the "litter box" I seriously thought it WAS kitty litter, and I had to wonder why in the world she would bring a litter box to church?!?!!! So gross! :) I think I really grossed Daniel out when I picked up a "lump" with my bare hands! lol
way better illustration than my petrified pizza - but then, that wasn't on purpose.
John White didn't know what it was after church and I took a big bite out of one of the brownies. I thought he was going to upchuck.
I really need to make these liter box treats - I think my kids would get a real kick out of them! See Ya.
