Well, I saw the orthopedic surgeon today. That was so much fun! (I hope you can hear the sarcasm coming through loud and clear!)
The doctor says I probably did tear my meniscus. He's, also, fairly certain I have torn my Achilles tendon. I have to go have an MRI done on my leg Tuesday afternoon. When I told the doctor's secretary that management wasn't letting me have any time off, she got upset, then HE got upset, and took me off work at least until August 15th. He says that is definitely a tentative date, depending on what the MRI reveals.
I'm supposed to use a cane and stay off of my leg as much as possible.
The assistant manager was a little surprised to find out that I really did have a severe injury that warranted time off of work. She said it was quite inconvenient for them.
I'm going to spend some time filling out paperwork, and then I'm going to sit back and let my leg heal as much as it can, and ENJOY the time I have off of work despite the circumstances!

Well don't you just hate being an inconvenience. Bummer.
...I wonder if babysitting grandchildren is against Worker's Comp rules for when you're off work?...
terribly inconvenient for YOU as well, but i guess they weren't thinking about it fr your perspective!
