Conversations and Delightful Sights

Me and Eva:

"Nana, moobie?" "No movies until after you eat." "I bite. Moobie, now?" "One bite is not eating. You have to finish all of your supper." "More bites?" "Yes." "I full." "Eat!" "Moobie? Pweese?" "Eat, please?" "Otay. Moobies and eat?"

I caved!  She got to eat while she watched a movie. BUT at least she did eat everything this time.  I really hate eating in front of a video screen with kids!

Me and David Riley:

"Nana, can I ride my bike in the street?" "Don't think so." "Is that because I'm so oblivious to what's going on around me?" "You could say that."

"Nana, what is your favorite cookie?" "Ummm, either sugar cookie cut-outs or peanut butter." "Can we bake some today?" "Maybe next week if it cools off outside."

"Nana, if you had to choose a funny movie, what would it be?" "Most likely "Princess Bride", why?" "Because I want to laugh while I watch a movie."

We were reading Jack and Jill, Chapter 3:  "Nana, boys are boys no matter how old the book is, aren't they?" "That is a very true statement."

Sights:
Eva and David Riley sound asleep early in the morning.  Both of them covered to their chins with their feet hanging off of the beds.

David Riley looking through all of the perennial plants on the Lowe's clearance racks looking for plants for the Butterfly Garden he's talked his parents into letting him create, as part of his birthday gift.

Eva and David Riley laying on the floor creating funny versions of dinosaurs with a kit that Sir Nottaguy-Imadad found at Goodwill for $1.  Laughing their heads off.  Trying to "scare" Nana with the newest creation.

Eva laying with her head on the footrest of Sir's recliner and her feet on the back with her arm slung over Sparky while they watched Veggie Tales videos.
