Orthopedic Update

I saw the orthopedist yesterday.  The results from the MRI were in, so we discussed them.

I tore my meniscus in 4 places. Only surgery can fix it. However, we have to wait for Worker's Comp. to approve it.  This may take a bit of time.  The Achilles' tendon is just badly sprained, but has morphed into tendonitis.  Time and rest should take care of that.  (He said at least 6 weeks.)

The doctor, also, said I was off of work indefinitely.  He doesn't want me putting weight on my knee any more than necessary.  He did give me a prescription for physical therapy for a few weeks to at least try to strengthen the muscles and avoid any atrophy.

So for now I'm sitting. I'm guessing I should get caught up on my sewing at least. **Grin**
