Things To Believe In

Holy Mama got me started thinking about some of the things I absolutely believe in.  From some of the comments on her post that day, I suspect she jogged several bloggers' thoughts.  So, here's my list:

  • I believe in the absolute inerrancy of the Word of God.
  • I believe that a good hug at the right time is better than a whole mouthful of words.
  • I believe it is possible to feel and hear angels' wings.
  • I believe that the smile of a grand child is absolutely priceless.
  • I believe that the unity of a husband and wife grows with every struggle they face together.
  • I believe moms and daughters can be friends, but not while the daughter is still a child.
  • I believe that boys are born knowing how to torment the females in their lives.
  • I believe that brothers and sisters can form a bond that cannot be broken even by death.
  • I believe that some sisters-in-law were truly meant to be sisters.
  • I believe that I can hear the Voice of God if I can just make myself be still long enough to listen.
  • I believe that you can have friends that are 30 years younger (or older) than you.
  • I believe that a card or note in the mail can cheer someone much longer than a text or phone call.
  • I believe in the weight of a good book.
  • I believe in sitting and really looking at the stars/birds/flowers/river.
  • I believe a good laugh really is better than medicine.
  • I believe in the humor that can only be found among close friends and family.
  • I believe a dog in your life makes your life richer.
  • I believe in not only having biological children, but in adopting (officially and unofficially) the ones God puts in your life.
  • I believe in praying for anyone that is important to you.
  • I believe in accepting the answers to prayer even when it's not what you expected.
  • I believe in celebrating big and little events in your children's and grand children's lives.
  • I believe in helping people out even when it feels like you may be intruding.
  • I believe in staying in touch with family as much as possible.
  • I believe that forgiving doesn't necessarily mean forgetting, but it does mean putting the gun down.
  • I believe in the fun of creating with my sewing machine.
  • I believe that to truly teach someone, you have to let them see in to your life.
I believe in a whole lot more, but I think I've been wordy enough for this post.  You all will get the idea.  I'd love to read some of your beliefs when you get time to post them.

I love how when reading these posts, I find myself thinking, why didn't I say that?
