On Thursday Vee asked her readers a question that had been in one of her comments by Lorrie.
Have you found that thinking of fodder for your blog causes you to look at life differently?
I've been thinking about this and looking over some of my old posts and thinking some more. I've come to a few conclusions.
1. I blog just because I like the outlet of writing and connecting with people that I know and people that I'd like to know.
2. My fodder comes from just living my life. Sometimes it's funny. Sometimes it's bitter. Sometimes it's mundane. But it's always my life.
3. There are some things that happen that I immediately identify as bloggable.
4. There are other things that happen that I only realize are bloggable after I've been talking them over with someone (usually Sir Nottaguy-Imadad).
5. Some posts are truly written out of frustration with a situation, whether it be family, work, or something else.
6. I write things that I would tell people about if they were sitting in my living room or across the table from me.
7. I write about things (or posts) that make me think deep. I'm so very tired of the shallow thinking that most of life is made of, I want to get to the meat of thinking.
So, to answer the question: Blogging has made me more aware of the daily occurences of life. It's made me think and be more in the moment. In some ways this has changed me, but in other ways it has just blessed me.
