Today Has Been Fun?

Today was the beginning of my husband's company's new schedule 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. That means that the alarm in our room went off at 4 a.m. I am on vacation. I am not amused!!!

Then my cell phone sounded off with a text message from Jessica at 6:24 a.m. Did I mention that I am on vacation??!

Then my alarm went off at 6:30 a.m. so that I could take care of Cocoa before taking my mother for another CT scan. Once again, I AM ON VACATION!!!!

We were at KCH to do the CT scan at 7:55 a.m. Started the registration process and then--"Oh, we're sorry. We don't have you on our books. Let's see--oh, you are at the wrong building. You need to be at the Medical Pavilion." Load mom and walker back into the car. Drive to the back of the hospital, to the Medical Pavilion. Register. "Oh, you are a little late." Wait. Get blood drawn. Wait. Wait. Wait. Take mom back for CT scan. Nurse comes out to waiting area to get the list of meds. (Somewhere between Registration and Lab, it got lost.) CT scan is finally over about 10:00 a.m. Take mom home and listen to how terrible CT scans are and "Why do they have to keep poking holes in her arm?"

I finished the lining to Abby's "Princess" dress and now all I have to do is the hem!!!!! I can't wait to see her face when she opens the box this weekend.

I have, also, had lunch at Kenyon Inn. (Which truly was fun!! I love being served by Jessica!) I have done my grocery shopping, so now I am going to go finish hemming Abby's dress and wash my hair. (Not at the same time! I'm talented, but not that talented!)

Then I'm making subs for supper (must use up leftovers!) and serving cookies for dessert! Thank goodness tonight is Bible Study. I'm ready for some normalcy!!!

Have a wonderful day!
