Home for a few days

The maintenance crew decided that it was time to repaint the basement of the bank branch where I work. Now, mind you, it has been below 20 degrees most of the week. That means no possible way to open doors to vent the fumes. (Of course, this is a bank, so for security reasons leaving doors propped open and windows opened is a big no-no anyway!) Add to that, the fact that I have asthma, and guess what happened???

I called my doctor about 2:30 (after having endured a LOT of coughing/wheezing) and asked if he could see me for a few minutes after I got off of work at 4. He took a quick listen to my lungs, checked my throat (which is nearly swollen closed), checked my ears, and wrote me off work until Monday. He said everything was too swollen to do a breathing treatment, I just needed to go home and drink lots of fluid and rest. (And use my medications!)

So, that means I will be having lots of time to blog over the next few days. I'm going to go heat leftovers for supper, and then I'm going to rest!!! Talk to you all tomorrow!

Whoever heard of painting indoors in sub-zero weather? Go figure. But it garnered you a long weekend,hm? *smile* I am praying that you get to feeling better so you can enjoy it! ((HUGS))

I'm planning on spending the time upstairs in my sewing room (which is right next to my bedroom--just in case I want to go to sleep or read)! I'm drinking LOTS of cold tea and water which seems to be taking the swelling down. Thanks for your prayers!
