The Obstacle Course Called Life

I was reading Sarah's blog this morning and got to thinking about how life sometimes throws obstacles in our way; sometimes you find mildew in the wall, sometimes its a health issue, sometimes its extreme success or extreme failure.

The point of the obstacle course is to find out who you really are. Are you the person that will sit down and pout and cry because something is in your way? Are you the one that has brought dynamite with you and plan on blasting your way through even if the most direct route is not the correct one? Are you the one that has to know who put the obstacle there and what was their reasoning? OR--Are you content to find your way around the obstacle, even if it means taking a new path, and letting the end of the race tell the story?

I want the end of my race to tell the story that I trusted the One who laid out my path including the obstacles. To say that I kept on despite it all.

Well said indeed...To know and trust that He has already placed the steps we take in front of us is all we need to know. He will ALWAYS take us to the other side regardless of the situations, good or bad.:)

Wonderful post, Theresa. I've learned so many valuable lessons this past year and a half. And one of them is to know that HE knows what is best for me. ((HUGS))

Love this thought...Sometimes I'm a pouter, sometimes I'm a blaster (which isn't always the best) and sometimes I come out finally realizing why a certain obstacle was there...

Such a great analogy.
