Randomness, again...

Today is Good Friday. Just like the commercialness surrounding Christmas, I have really come to abhor the same thing happening to Easter. I realize it is the unsaved world's way of covering up their lack of understanding of the true meaning of the holidays, but unfortunately it has oozed its way into the lives of Believers! I long for the days when the Easter Holiday was truly a time of reflection on the price that Jesus paid for our salvation.

On the other hand, I did finally buy stuff to give the grandkids. They may be a little startled, but I am not doing one basket for each kid. This year I am doing one basket for each family. Each child will have a special bag in the basket, but the goodies are for all to share. Also, the two oldest have asked for fish for their aquariums, so Saturday I will deliver fishies and food!

The WonderHusband's knee seems to be doing pretty well. He had a bit of a bad night last night, due to bumping the knee on a chair at the dinner table, but after getting a hot shower and taking some pain medicine, he did get a good night's sleep. He got brave this morning and decided to put on jeans instead of sweats.
--------------------------------------------------------
I have tons of laundry to do today. I think I will start with Mom's since all of her favorites are dirty. I, also, have to do some banking and bill paying. (Joy, joy!) And sometime today, I have to make some phone calls to update family that are not on the internet.
--------------------------------------------------------
There is a large black dog running loose in our neighborhood for the third day. Sparky, the (b)Rat Terrier is going nuts!!! This dog is at least, four times Sparky's size, but Sparky thinks he's up to the task. I think all dogs need to be fenced or on leashes when they are outside, I just wish that were everyone's opinion!
--------------------------------------------------------
Well, I guess I really can't avoid my tasks any longer. Have a wonderful day, Folks!

Girl, do you ever just sit and stare? *smile* I think the Easter basket per family is a good idea. We didn't do one for the kids this year, because they didnt' want any candy....they're trying to stay in shape and fit and all that stuff.....and we have been pretty generous with them the past couple of weeks (I won't go into details here *grin*) so I think we are pretty well settled for Easter "giving". *smile* Oh, but I agree with you, Theresa, on the commercialism of Easter! It is getting ridiculous!! Sheesh! We were in Walmart yesterday and couldn't believe how people were cleaning out the place! Unbelievable! We were there to get a ham and just a few sundry items. The Lord's best to you and Ross and your family! ((HUGS))
