The TO-DO List

1. Tell each set of kids what they are responsible for bringing on Saturday.
2. Make sure that John and Robbie are ready for grilling duty.
3. Make sure that Robbie and Daniel bring their grills.
4. Clear the disk on the camera so that I can take as many pictures as I want.
5. Cut the grass, and trim.
6. Get the folding chairs out of the basement.
7. Find the wading pool (filled with ice, it is the perfect drink holder!)
8. Go to the grocery: paper plates, napkins, hot dog and hamburger buns, popsicles, soda.
9. Borrow a couple of folding tables.

Oh, I'm sorry, I'm letting you see my list, but I forgot that I was posting! ; )

As you can see, I appear to be organized, but trust me that is just a facade! I forgot to add that I, also, have to have enough done on Liz's dress that we can do a fitting. And that I have to declutter the downstairs just in case the weather doesn't cooperate. And have I mentioned that the WonderHusband has had knee surgery, and is off on Worker's Comp?, so, the idea of him mowing the grass and trimming is a definite NO! Oh, and while she's here, I have to measure K and decide which size pattern to use for her outfit for the wedding. And somewhere in all of this, this coming week is the beginning of the month, so Mom will need her finances gone over and she is insisting that she is going to go shopping with us this time. (I'm not sure that I am up for a 4 hour marathon, do I have any volunteers who are good at saying "No" and making it stick??? Oh, yeah, you also have to be OCD about reading labels for sodium and carbohydrate content. And did I mention you have to be able to say "NO!!!"???)

And if you are feeling overwhelmed just reading this, can you imagine how I am feeling at the moment???

As much as I would love to stay on here and blog, I've only got a week to get prepared, and I have to work all week as well, so I'm going to go get started. Hmmmmmm, I think I'd better start with getting dressed and going to the grocery so that we will have enough milk and bread to keep the household going while I do everything else. And then, I think I will hide in my sewing room for the rest of the day. If you think I am lurking on your blogs, just be aware that I probably am, I'll comment when I'm not in such a dither.

I can bring brownies. ;-) Oooh, oooh, and cowboy caviar, can I bring my cowboy caviar?

I am overwhelmed reading your list. I'm glad your company is family who loves you, so I can say "don't stress out, they'll love you and have a good time whether you get things done or not!!!"

Okay, Kim, what is Cowboy Caviar??? Is this a recipe that I've missed???

Liz, you and Chris are responsible for dessert. Remember 16 people, 5 of them children, 2 of them diabetic. Think variety.
