David Riley trotting up to me yesterday: "Hi, Nana! I love you! I get to spend all day with you!"
Eva: "Nana! I wovs wit all heart!" (I love you with all my heart!)
Abby: "I'm baaacckkk!" (She's been with her mom and brothers in upstate New York.)
Trying to decide where to go for lunch after church, I mentioned KFC and DR says, "Not really fond of their chicken, Nana." Eva says, "Chicken's good!!!"
Last night at church before service, Eva was playing with her little dolls that help keep her quiet and she kept handing some to DR to play with her. One of his friends came over and made a smart remark about him playing with dolls. DR just looked up with a very cold expression and said, "She's MY little sister and if she wants me to play with her I will!" I don't think peer pressure is going to pull those siblings apart any time soon!
During prayer service DR leans over to me and says, "Nana, we need to pray for Aunt Lemon and the new baby." So, we held hands and he prayed for them. He's becoming so tender about praying for people when they pop into his mind!
What precious things do you get to hear?
