Today

Today is the last day of summer break for David Riley, Abby, Jonathan, and Hunter. 

Today I will take Eva to daycare for several hours and DR and I will make all kinds of fun messes around the house and try to have them cleaned up before Sir Nottaguy-Imadad and Eva come home.

On the list:

Boil eggs--DR has requested some for lunch.
Make some school supplies creatures--He found these in The Encyclopedia of Immaturity by Klutz Press.
Finish mending stuff.
Watch a movie.
Play with toys.
Vacuum the floors.
Go meet DR's new teacher and deliver all of his school supplies.

Just the right mixture of fun and work.

Also, may try to make a trip around to the local thrift stores.  The boys (specifically DR and Hunter) have grown like the weeds and are in need of pants that are long enough.  Hunter actually caught up with Jonathan, so I can buy for two with one purchase.

Abby's legs just keep getting longer and longer.  She's definitely taking after her Daddy!  But finding skirts/dresses that are the length of a size 10 with the waist of a size 7 is impossible.  That's why I've got to get the mending finished--I've got some creative sewing to do!
