They decided to come down in the middle of the week because of two reasons.
- They haven't seen me since my hernia surgery and just wanted to reassure themselves (visually) that I am doing well. (We talk to each other at least once a week.)
- It's my birthday, and they wanted to take me out for lunch. (Aw, ain't that nice!)
We decided to go to the Kenyon Inn, where my daughter, Jessica, is the daytime server. That way we can all visit at the same time. The Kenyon Inn is a wonderful place to eat! The food is absolutely scrumptious!!!! Sometimes they have a Bleu Cheese Artichoke Bisque that is just out of this world. (I'm hoping they'll have some today!!!) Truly, though, I've not had anything there that isn't top notch!!!
Update on Buster: He actually responded to my command to "Sit" today!!! Now, if I can just get him to let go of things when I tell him to, maybe I can salvage the next thing he decides to chew.
Oh, yes, I forgot to tell you about him attacking my husband's old steel-toe boots!!! Buster was trying to drag one downstairs, and he lost his balance. The shoe connected with his tail at the bottom of the stairs. Buster growled at the boot everytime he went near it for the next 1/2 hour. We found the mate to the boot on one of the beds upstairs, chewed on, but still wearable for whatever my husband needs to use them for. (He usually wears them for cutting grass and the Sweet Corn Festival.)
Well, have a lovely day, Everyone!!!
