Over and done ...

Well, one more year of parking cars at the Knox County Fair is over!!!! Oh, how glad I am. You wouldn't think that where you park could be a life and death issue, but that's the attitude of some people. I can understand that people with health issues or handicaps need closer parking (I qualify for that myself), but when they wait until 15 minutes before the main event of the night is to start, they just have to take what is available. The Knox Co. Fair Board has gone over the limit trying to provide easier access for handicapped and elderly with special shuttles that will pick them up at their car (where ever it is parked) and deliver them back to their car, but people just seem to like to complain.

Oh, well, I shall now descend that soap box!!!

The nice thing about doing the parking at the fair is that our church doesn't have to schedule 12 bake sales and 12 car washes a year to earn money for SFC!!! Two big fund raisers a year, and we are there!! (The other one is working at the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival.) I can think of much harder ways to earn money for missions. (Anybody remember SFC Walk A Thons???) My husband, Ross, just keeps reminding himself everytime he gets a "difficult customer" that we are helping someone hear the gospel.

I'm going to sign off now, and go crochet for a while. I need some real cool down time, after sitting in the heat for 3 1/2 hours. Have a great weekend, Everyone!
